Tiny Planet Pro™

While playing around with the Tiny Planet feature on my Android phone, I started to wonder if there might be a way to allow greater freedom of artistic expression when projecting a photosphere into a 2D image. Tiny Planet Pro™ is an attempt create a playspace with intuitive controls. You can learn more about this project at my blog.

Zoom	This graph defines the relationship between our output image (x axis) and input image (y axis). Click the line to edit. [more info] The horizontal axis of this graph represents the distance from from the center of projection in the lower output image. These values are then mapped to an angular offset (vertical axis) in the upper input image. The grey area on the right side of the graph represents space beyond the borders of the output image. The size of this area changes based on the zoom and the center of projection in the output image. [hide this]
